Sabine River Valley Horticulture Conference

Gardeners and homeowners across East Texas are invited to attend the Sabine River Valley Horticulture Conference on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Carthage Civic Center Conference Room. Hosted by the Panola County AgriLife Extension Office, this educational program will provide research-based gardening and landscaping information tailored to East Texas growing conditions.
The conference will feature Extension specialists presenting seed biology and successful seed starting, designing resilient gardens that work with nature, understanding soil biology for healthier plants, and using native plants for high-impact, low-maintenance landscapes. These timely topics are designed to help gardeners improve plant performance, reduce inputs, and build sustainable landscapes.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the program running from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. The cost of attending is $10 per person, which includes refreshments. Attendance is limited to the first 60 individuals who RSVP by January 20, 2026, by calling the Panola County Extension Office at (903) 693-0380.
