When: May 9, 2026
Time: 9 am to noon
Where: Ina Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, located at 2900 Raguet Street, Nacogdoches.

The seminar will feature Dr. Andrew King, assistant professor of ornamental horticulture at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Overton. With a rich heritage as a 4th-generation horticulturist in a family that has been active in the nursery industry for over 110 years, Dr. King brings a wealth of knowledge to the session. His experience includes serving on the faculty in the Texas A&M Department of Horticultural Sciences and as the Assistant Director of SFA Gardens at Stephen F. Austin State University.

During this seminar, Dr. King will present “Plant Propagation,” in which he will demonstrate essential propagation techniques, including cuttings and seed sowing. Attendees will have the chance to get hands-on experience with propagating plants and will even take their newly propagated plants home. Dr. King emphasizes, “The workshop will be a great opportunity for gardeners to learn the basics of propagation.”
