Gardening for the Heat

Elizabeth Waldrop, a native of East Texas, is a Smith County Master Gardener with extensive experience in growing vegetables in the region. She will focus on food gardening and discuss how to create a garden that remains productive throughout the summer. Topics will include the use of mulch, both artificial and natural shade, slow and low watering techniques such as ollas, and advice on when to refrain from fertilizing.
