The Smith County Master Gardeners are a group of passionate and experienced gardeners dedicated to enriching the local community through education and shared knowledge. We strive to promote sustainable gardening practices and empower others to transform their outdoor spaces into thriving havens.
Our mission as a charitable organization is to provide educational and scientific horticultural programs to the East Texas area based on research programs and standards set by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension programs and their County Extension Services. Working together, we provide the community with horticulture information and standards through news articles, clinics, or presentations at garden clubs, schools, and other community groups. We also provide designated scholarship funds for qualified students at institutions of higher learning in the State of Texas to impact future generations.
